The aesthetic for this kitchen was centered around the client’s taste in mid 20th Century design, which is found throughout the rest of the house in their interior spaces and furniture. The whole kitchen has been made from sheets of birch plywood. The worktop surface and door fronts are laminated with a combination of Formica and Linoleum and the plywood edges of the carcass work have been exposed with inset cabinet doors. The simple white track lighting and Anglepoise pendant lights compliment the mid-century references, as does the new Linoleum floor and steel and ply backsplash.
