Ormeau, Belfast, Northern Ireland

A “turnkey” renovation project in a small Edwardian terraced house just off the Ormeau Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland. As the project was a buy-to-let investment we tried to work with the existing property as much as possible and retain many of the original features in an effort to keep costs down. The original floorboards, balustrade and original windows were all retained and sanded back. The 1960’s tiles in the bathroom were regrouted and kept with new black taps and ironmongery added. A new bespoke birch ply kitchen was installed with blue spray panel doors. The overall colour palette included aged pine, white walls with splashes colour of turmeric, terracota, forest green and duck egg blue.
